4. Exporting non-editable .pdf files in Illustrator (4 min video)
5. Assignment Details
1. Intro:
This short presentation provides an outline of equipment and software we have available, and suggestions for guiding people in the right direction for their graphic design project needs. Everyone should view this to review the available software and hardware.
Create a large format poster in Illustrator that applies principles of Contrast, Repetition, Alignment & Proximity.
The poster should be 34" by 44".
Export the poster as a non-editable .pdf, upload it to Vspace, and email me the link (babailey@vassar.edu).
Some tips:
The tutorials are oriented towards creating posters for an academic presentations, but your poster does not have to be for an academic audience.
Have fun with this assignment. If you are short of content or ideas, please visit our web site for text and our flickr account for images.
(If you are stuck for ideas, you might try picking one of our four areas and highlighting, or discussing workshops we've had, maybe even Halloween, as we have some fun images for that.)
If you have a poster that you've done before that utilizes C.R.A.P., you can use that or reformat it as necessary.
Be sure to put upload your .pdf Vspace as you'll need it for the web training module.
Please don't feel obliged to start a document from scratch. I intend for this training to take 60 - 90 minutes. If it it takes more, feel free to pull the plug and send me what you've done. I want this to mesh well with your schedule.
This training module should help us and many community members, so thanks for your help.
