Professional Development:

IT Manager's Workshop Series (Full Details)

I participated in three days of professional development training (spaced out over several months) orgnized by NERCOMP. The focus was on skills and

strategies needed  by early-stage leaders in order to succeed. The program focused on the practical knowledge and skills needed to succeed in management and leadership in higher education. The topics covered were interpersonal communication skills; budget and finance; managing time and priorities; project management; managing up; and performance management. It was a very strategic use of my time and an excellent networking opportunity.
